Recently, Associate Professor Shenglin Zhang won Huawei Computing Product Line’s Award for Best Professor of Technical Cooperation, which was awarded by Huawei Computing Product Line in recognition of Professor Zhang’s outstanding performance in the field of AIOps (artificial intelligent for operation) in cooperation with Huawei.
It is reported that the relevant failure diagnosis tools delivered by the technical team led by Associate Professor Shenglin Zhang can improve the Huawei's failure localization accuracy by 85%, and shorten the failure diagnosis time by 90%, significantly improving the accuracy and efficiency of failure localization. The proposed algorithms have been integrated into Huawei tools and have been actively used by third-party operation teams.
The OS Failure Diagnosis Project that Shenglin Zhang cooperated with HuaweiComputing Product Line was ranked as Excellent Project, and was highly evaluated by Huawei’s relevant technical experts. The results of the project also won thebounty for the technical projects of Huawei Computing Product Line.
Shenglin Zhang is an associate professor at the College of Software, Nankai University. His research interests focus on AIOps, including anomaly detection, failure diagnosis, root cause analysis, failure prediction, etc., for software/network service management. He has published 30+ papers in international conferences, including ATC, WWW, VLDB, SIGMETRICS, CoNEXT, INFOCOM, IJCAI, ISSRE, IWQOS, etc., and peer-reviewed journals, including IEEE TC/TSC/TNSM, etc. Additionally, he had won the Best Research Paper Award at ISSRE 2018. He is the PI of 8 projects funded by NSFC, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Huawei, ByteDance, ZTE, CERNET, etc. He went to Alibaba as a visiting scholar during 2018-2019.He served as the TPC member ofWWW22, ICNP22, IWQoS22, ISSRE 19/20/21/22.
