Software School Students Go to the University of Hong Kong for Visiting Study

(Correspondents: Li Yang, Li Lin, Wang Zhen, Li Chenxi) On January 25, 2024, students from the School of Software went to Hong Kong to carry out visiting and exchange activities at the University of Hong Kong.

In the morning of that day, the visiting study team arrived at the Zhou Yiqing Building of the University of Hong Kong and conducted learning exchanges with three professors from the Department of Computer Science, namely Huang Zhiyi, Zhao Hengshuang, and Wu Chenshu. Professor Huang Zhiyi gave a detailed introduction to the basic situation of the University of Hong Kong and the Department of Computer Science, and provided detailed explanations on enrollment policies and student development. Professors Zhao Hengshuang and Wu Chenshu introduced the latest achievements in their research field and had in-depth discussions with their classmates on their prospects and thoughts on the future development of the computer and software industry. Finally, the three professors provided guidance and answers to the academic and practical questions raised by the students.

Subsequently, accompanied by staff, the visiting team visited the Tam Wing Fan Innovation Wing at the University of Hong Kong. The students visited the venues and equipment available for the University of Hong Kong to conduct experimental and innovative activities on campus birthdays, experienced the students’ technological innovation works and research and invention achievements, and felt the strong atmosphere of innovation and powerful creativity.

This visiting activity has enabled students to have a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the cutting-edge fields, and has played a positive role in inspiring students to be brave and good at innovation. The School of Software will continue to do a good job in students’ study abroad and international exchanges, and provide effective platforms for students to broaden their horizons and learn more knowledge.
