（Yifang Chu）At the very beginning of the new year, From January 20 to 31, 2024, the College of Software organized a total of 60 international students from three grades, namely, 2021, 2022 and 2023, to visit Shenzhen. The College of Software, Nankai University fully mobilized all resources, carefully prepared and executed the tour successfully, per the requirements of the Ministry of Commerce for the training of postgraduate in software engineering.
The 12-day trip starts from the 10-hour Tianjin-Hong Kong bullet train. International students took the world-leading high-speed train, from the snowy north along the hinterland of China, all the way to the warm south, and arrived at Luohu in Shenzhen at midnight with crowded streets and shining lights.
Shenzhen is the UAV capital of China, where more than 1,300 UAV development and manufacturing enterprises gathered and the World UAV Conference held. The first stop for international students is to visit Huangmabu School in Baoan District. After watching the performance of UAVs operated by middle school students, the international students attended a series of competitions, such as Master Conquest, UAV Soccer Competition, UAV Crossing Competition and Engineering Robot Challenge. Through practical operation, the international students experienced the exquisiteness of UAVs, and had a lot of fun.

ZTE is one of the world's leading telecom equipment manufacturers, its business covering more than 160 countries and regions, serving more than a quarter of the world's population, and is a major participant and contributor to global 5G technology research and standard setting. After a series of investigations on the UAV industry in Shenzhen, the reception organization Shenzhen Association for the Promotion of Foreign Economic and Technological Cooperation (hereinafter referred to as the "Promotion Association") took the overseas students to ZTE's R&D building and started the ICT journey of modern communication technology.
ZTE's Argentina commentary led international students to explore the core areas of the communication industry such as 5G wireless, core network, bearer, access and chip along the company's product line. Since then, the promotion association has arranged for international students to inspect a number of production and R&D enterprises in the communications sector. Many students said that this was their first systematic and comprehensive contact with modern information and communication technology, and witnessed with their own eyes how China's information and communication technology stood on its own feet and rose to the top of the world in such a short time.

The Greater Bay Area is also a world-class automobile industry cluster, and it is a highland for research and development of new energy and new technologies in the automobile industry. The last stop of international students' tour was Guangzhou Automobile Group in Tianhe District, Guangzhou.
Guangzhou Automobile Group is one of the most important automobile manufacturers in China. Its main business covers automobile R&D, complete vehicle and spare parts manufacturing. Its independent innovation and joint venture cooperation are advancing simultaneously, and it is now fully transforming into a technology-based enterprise.
In Guangzhou Automobile New Energy Base, while inspecting the whole production process of China's best-selling new energy vehicle models, international students personally test-drive the new vehicles that have just rolled off the assembly line and experience various new technologies that empower new energy vehicles, which brings the whole tour to a perfect end.
